Bright Endless
Hydroelectric infrastructure can’t catch much attention in the countryside, isolated dams and towers and turbines out of sight. They’re strange haunts to inhabit, places of power and great effort, left alone save for sporadic maintenance. The low rumble thunder is always ongoing, chaos of water unseen. Here, I’m standing in the only shade I’ve seen all day, bright sun hiding directly behind this big metal beast. Seems as if April has only two moods, dark drowning rainfall or bright endless blue. Today was clearly the latter, no hint of coming change. If I weren’t the weather junkie I am, I might wake tomorrow not knowing. But my life is shifted in that beautiful upheaval. You’ll find me fascinated with the sighing sky.
